For younger children, prayers can focus on simple truths about God's love, kindness, basic trust, and obedience.

• 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15: "...encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else." [7]
  Prayer Focus: For your teen to develop a compassionate character, showing kindness, patience, and a commitment to doing good.
• Psalm 20:7: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” [6]
